Year 7 Music - 2020

All lessons and resources are accessible without a password for both students and teachers.

The three areas of focus for Year 7 are: 1) Performance, 2) Listening and 3) Composition.

Students will be engaged and assessed in all three areas throughout the year.

The lessons are designed to be fun and interactive with a variety of activities to maintain student interest and cover the required syllabus requirements.

Teachers with limited musical teaching experience and musical knowledge will find student centred lessons that allow for the students to work at their own pace and take control of their learning.

The teacher responsible for all of the Year 7 Music lessons is Mr. Casey. Please see him at any time with any questions, advice or help. He is available and more than happy to help at any time.

As music is a mandatory requirement in Year 7 it is vitally important that teachers are teaching music during these lessons. It is also an opportunity to promote music at our school and maintain or hopefully grow our numbers in the subject.

Music education opens doors that help children pass from school into the world around them a world of work, culture, intellectual activity, and human involvement. The future of our nation depends on providing our children with a complete education that includes music.
